So up here in canada we have had a colder than usual winter. One thing that I have been pretty frustrated over is the fact that my windows frost up from the inside CONSTANTLY. Again this is with my 2013 Elantra... I never had this issue with my 2009 GLS... So I am wondering if others are having the same issue?
The frost becomes so bad that it takes almost 40 minutes to clear the rear window with the defroster on and the heat on max up front. The re circulation button is not enabled and the AC is running (I already know of those tips). I have also on occasion driven with my windows partially open to help clear out the moist air...but that is only a temporary measure. Now granted I do tend to track snow into the car so it does collect in the winter floor mats, but I have also needed to dump out the water occassionally. I was under the impression that with the AC on, and the heat on high, the moisture would be removed from the car so that this would not happen, but such is not the case. Both of my Hyundai's do this (accent & elantra GT), and from what I see on the road, so do many others, but mostly newer models. I have noticed it on a few other makes of smaller cars as well. They feel pretty solid, tight door seals, and seem well sealed on the inside, much more so than my Civic, which never frosted. I wonder if that has something to do with it.

I am going to look around this spring for some additional door gasket material to add to my limited.
I have been wanting to run a 2nd self-adhesive, continuous strip of closed cell around outer edge of both doors. They could have sealed these doors in a much better way from the factory . . . they are known to be the source excessive road invading the interior. And I have always noticed how easily dirt collects at the bottom of my doors on the insides . . . especially after a rain. My car is white. -------------------- A proud member of the club.

except I think the problem is not the lack of seal, but that they are overly sealed - trapping in the moist air - no place to escape.

Keep the carpet dry. Stuff absorbant paper towels under the floor mats and change them often. There's no other way(other than storing the car in a dry place with the doors open).

Oy... I cannot wait until this brutal winter is behind us. I just ended up with a pile of snow getting into my car from leaving the wipers on the day before, getting into my car to start it while leaving the drivers door open... UGH
