This is a basically a new version of the archived "Is your Elantra high mileage" poll.
All members should "vote". It's easy and it lets people see how durable these cars really are.
Members who no longer own their Elantra can still vote using the mileage their cars had on them.
ours has 13x,xxx on it.
the veloster is 31,xxx right now.
Nearly 19k miles so far in 1 year and 1 month on the GT.
My wife's Entourage has 65k miles on it.
Porky left us with 160+k miles.
Will hit 17k miles in Serenity within a day or two.
Just hit 157,000 this morning! Now at 162,700 (2/4/2014)
My 2001 Elantra had 101,000 miles on it until some idiot wrecked me and totaled it.
Definitely had another 100k in it. No doubt.
I'll probably be at 190,000 before the month is out.
<EDIT> I hit 190,000 miles on the way home from work today. I pile up miles like a boss.
Over 90k. I can just remember when it had like < 100 miles when I drove her off the lot.
Kyles had I think 203,000 when he sold it. Mine now has 104,000. Time for an oil change actually haha
The 2000 Elantra had around 105,000 when I sold it. I talked to the fellow I sold it to a couple weeks ago and its still going strong .
The 2001 Tiburon has 102,305 and seems to be fairing well .
Well, I no longer own it (my sister does) but last time I looked it had almost 170k on the odo.
My 2003 GT has 83000 on it now. Just like new!
Nearing 180,000 kilometers, equating to around 111,000 glorious miles.
Have only had our 2012 for just over a year, and she's got just over 25000 kms.
Our 2004 GT had 150 000 kms.
Not high mileage, but sure are good cars.
AT 2006 Elantra GLS ~165,000 miles
few issues, but still going strong! Besides routine maintenance, (timing belt, struts @ 125K, brakes, oil change):
replaced both o2 sensors, upstream and downstream
earlier this year, windshield wiper transmission crapped out and seized. fixed myself but rushed the repair.. I didn't quite mark and align the crank arm, broke again.. Later I pulled a unit from the junkyard and now works great and much cheaper!
recently, thermostat stuck shut, and I didn't notice the temp and the radiator cracked. I wondered why the A/C wasn't working... Yesterday the parts came in from rock auto and installed that evening. Did some prep this weekend. Took my time and it works great w/no leaks. While I was there I did all the hoses as well.
126,500 km (78,603 miles) and run like a new.
love my elantra.
I will turn 191,000 today on my '04 GT.
I am new here, but I bought my 03/04 elantra off of my neighbor with over 200,000 miles on it. It has a blown headgasket, ice cold ac, interior looks brand new, and it has brand new tires. It is all Highway miles, and he just had the radiator, water pump, coolant hoses, starter alternator, and CVs done. I cant wait to tear it down and do the top end overhaul
My 2000 has 167,800 miles.
btw kevrwheeler
2005 Elantra CDTD CDX done 105,756 seen one with 265,000 on the clock which which was also a diesel and could probably do the same again.
What's really impressive is that about 44% of people voting (so far) have over 100,000 miles on their cars.
215k + miles and still gets over 30mpg highway. 33 if the gas isn't that cr^p stuff with 10% ethanol.
2005 GLS just turned 128,000 the other day.
I have to do math today?...
no thanks...
Hey-My '13 GT is closing in on 19k miles. Just got my second credit card from Hyundai for the fuel economy error. $85.00.
No issues at all with the car.
Last weekend my 2011 Elantra crossed over 100,000km (62,000mi) and it is now officially off warranty, zero issues thus far.
My '04 GT turned 200,000 miles on Wednesday. I guess it's broken in now.
My 2014 GT hit 500 miles yesterday
2005 gt 63,000
04 108,000miles
Mine turned 200,000 last week.
2012 elantra limited , roughly 32,000
My 05 XD is just over 65,000miles ... best car ever almost 9 years old and just keeps going... change the oil every 3000 miles and purrs like new.
The 09 i30cw / Elantra Touring CRDi is at 60,000 miles. we put 30,000 miles on it in one year... its chugging along nicely
2005 just turned 121k
Just finished installing a new timing belt
Bearings water pump and drive belts
The idlers and bearings and pump looked and felt new
I saved them.
just hit 130.5 k

Belated mileage birthday. Still averaging 31mpg at 150k!
Sorry for the blur.
Just turned 171,000 this weekend and not sure how many more it will go. Too many issues starting to crop up - slipping clutch being the most worry some, and a new oil spot appearing on the garage floor. I am looking at a 2014 or 2015 Elantra Sport, manual of course, and will be pulling the trigger later this fall/winter.
Just hit 174,000
Rolled over 200,000KMs not long ago. About 120,000 Miles?
Just shy of 80,000 at the moment, but I just got the damn thing. Give me some time and I'll rack up the miles!
Just rolled over 90K miles the other day. Woot!
Finally had to sell my 02 GLS with 280,000 miles on it. I never took care of the body very well so it really rusted out bad. The water pump was leaking, it needed a timing belt also, the brake pedal was going near the floor, and I just decided it was time to move on. I sold it for $300 on Craigslist. I don't think the engine would ever die as long as I kept oil in it.
I bought it in 2006 with 78,000 miles on it. The clutch felt like it was mostly worn out, but it lasted until about 160,000 miles when it was changed. That was the only time it was replaced.
I had the timing belt done at around 120,000 and then at 180,000, and after that I just let it go.
Brakes were done a few different times.
Twice the thermostat stuck and blew up the radiator, which was a big expense each time. I guess changing the coolant on a very regular basis helps prevent this. Also might be a good idea to change out the thermostat with the timing belt to be safe.
The alternator died at one point, I think it was over 200,000 miles.
The fuel pump died once too.
I guess that all isn't too bad considering I put 200,000 miles on it and owned it from 2006 to 2015.
I now have a 2010 Accent, hope it lasts as long.

2004 great body(not mine) and 119 k's on the clock just did a service and can't believe the difference it made.
More responsive and a little quieter so very happy, plent of K'S left yet.
Mine is nearly to 238,000 miles. Putting some new CVs on along with an axle seal, but the motor runs like new. It's quiet, smooth, and efficient. Take care of them and they will last you forever!
180,000 miles strong over here!
