The 2010 Tucson was compared and tested agained 3 other quality CUV's. The results should put a smile on Hyundai's face... a solid second behind the Honda. Here's a little bit of what they said about the all-new Tucson:

QUOTE
Easily the best-looking vehicle of the bunch, inside and out.

QUOTE
The Tucson's 0-to-60 (8.8 seconds) and quarter-mile (16.7 seconds at 82.8 mph) times were best of the group, and its lateral acceleration (0.79 g), figure eight (28.5 seconds at 0.58 g), and 60-to-0 braking (120 feet) trail only those of the lightweight Forester. Moreover, of the four CUVs here, the Tucson manages to stay flattest through corners, the byproduct of a firm suspension.

QUOTE
2nd Place: Hyundai Tucson AWD Limited
Stiff ride and spotty steering handicap an otherwise quick, agile, and choice CUV.

Here's the complete comparo test:

I'm surprised it came in 2nd then and not 1st... being a CR-V owner myself, it's nice they chose it 1st, but it's a really weird comparo- the Tucson and CR-V are a good match, but I would have expected the Rav-4 in there, and the equinox too... but honestly I like my parents' Sportage more than the CR-V and had Kia or Hyundai bothered to do a Canadian credit check for us I'd be driving a Sportage or Tucson right now...

This is fantastic news! I saw on a TV show where the Rav-4 wasn't rated as high due to lack of power... But each reviewer do get their own point of views in for sure.

It might be the i4 rav4 is a HP mismatch. Every prior review that contained rav4 vs cr-v the rav4 was higher rated. The cr-v was the better "daily driver" on roads- it drove and behave more like a car than other SUVs (which is actually perfect for my wife who's driving it) but doesn't cut it that well if you want to use it in "utility" situations.
