So the last few days have been... trying. Weds had a flat tire on my car on the way home.Great. First one since I was 16. If you're doing the math at home, that's over 20 years without a flat on a vehicle I'm driving/while I'm driving. Fine. Get it fixed. Saturday morning, tpms light is back on. crap. Check the previous tire, no problem there. Check the other rear, flat. The stiff sidewall holds them up strangely enough.

Fine. I go into work for my 6th day. Get home late and hte wife is "cleaning" the Forte. Fine... she finishes up and comes in. Monday I take the tire off and bring it in. Finally get someone at work to do a plug patch Tuesday. Get home, put it on. This morning head out, open the door and no light. Huh... well, maybe she just turned them off when cleaning. Insert key and .... nothing. Fuck. Battery is d-e-d dead. Yank the battery, bring it in. No point in testing. It's 1 month from being 5 years old (build date December 2009), and it's been below freezing for 3 days straight. This thing is done.

Two weeks ago, the wife destroyed another tire on hers with 15k on them. Looked at the fronts and realized I hadn't actually done the alignment because the front tires are toast..... and she destroyed one of the new looking rears. Great. So I had to order 2 more for hers. 2 flats for the Forte in 3 days. A dead battery and the tires on the truck have aged out to the point that they are harder than granite right now. Geesh..... what a week.
