No worries, there is no noticeable damage. I just didn't have good light and was starting to scrape up the sides so I decided to wait until I actually had time and light to do it properly. I was thinking it would be pretty easy to pop off, but mine was on there pretty good and I couldn't get the leverage with the screwdriver I was using.

Finally my drama came to an end!I now have an armrest.Just to let you know not to bother any more.
