Unless you are actively looking at a serious upgrade in power, a stock replacement like Exedy works great.

I highly agree. I couldn't imagine a stiffer clutch in an elantra. its an easy car to drive as it, add a little bit better clutch(higher holding capacity) and you're good to go.

They have a stage 1/ OEM clutch. But I wanted something that can take a little bit more aggressive driving then stock. And I heard the exedy clutch falls apart

I don't know what moron told you that. I ran mine HARD. I doubt anyone on this forum ran theirs harder. It was the only one that held up over time. When I traded the car in that clutch had 45k abused miles and was still just as good as the day I put it in. Mine saw hundreds of auto-x runs, dozens of drag strip passes, a trip to the east coast with several days of NYC/NJ driving in rush hour and every on ramp was a skid pad.

But if you are just hell bent on throwing away money on useless upgrades, I am not going to stop you.

Exedy is available at any reputable auto parts store. Napa, O'Reilly, Advance, yadda yadda. Here's a link: http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/moreinfo.p...&cc=1431312

Please go through our club's Affiliate Mall when you buy stuff online. The price isn't any higher for you but the club gets a kickback for the link. http://www.elantragtclub.com/id607.html

They're the same. Valeo makes 90% of all the pull-type clutch pressure plates in the world. In fact, most "stage 2" clutch kits will have a Valeo pressure plate.

Not sure how else to say this......

They're.
The.
Same.
Thing.

Valeo is a manufacturer and Exedy is a brand name. Valeo makes the pressure plates for just about everyone, including Exedy. Hence: they're the same thing.
