Kia's rapid move to greater quality and reliability as a match for its legendary value has created another reason for new car buyers to consider Kia with the announcement today that all Kia vehicles sold from 1 January 2008 will be covered by a standard, factory-backed five-year warranty.

That's good news since Kia is pretty much a Hyundai.

Hyundai and Kia is smart, there seems to be greater competition for a huge warranty in the states. while here in Australia most companies only offer 3years / 100,000km warranties.

Hyundai has always had the best warranty on the market here. So 5yrs / unlimited kilometers is excellent for us.

From what i can remember Hyundai's warranty in Australia has gones something like this...

1994 ---> 1999 - 3years / 100,000km warranty
2000 ---> 2006 - 5years / 130,000km warranty
2007 ---> Current - 5years / unlimited warranty

The only company to offer a warranty close to Hyundai's is Mitsubishi with 5years / 130,000km warranty

10 years warranty is huge! That would mean my Excel would have just ran out of warranty!
