This comes up time and time again. Way too many members that post here are missing the all important location field. It's important to fill this in for a variety of reasons. It takes all of two seconds. All you need to do is list your State if you don't want to show more.

Yea it really helps if we know what state or even country people are from.

Rather than B!tching at us to fill this stuff out like it's a homework assignment, why don't you just let natural enthusiasm take its course? Some people fill out their profiles, others don't. Accept it. I don't think it's a good idea to force anyone to put more personal information out there than what they're comfortable with.

Paul, I'm not bitching, but hey... that's your take. And I don't think listing a State or province that will help in many ways like buying/selling or maybe meets etc. is improper to ask at a club like this. It's not like I'm saying write your phone number or address lol... or even the city. Just a very BASIC location. Again I run it in a way I think is the best. You're entitled to your opinion and I have no problem with you posting it. I don't expect "lurkers" to do this.. but notice this was directed at "members who post"... in other words, regulars. I don't think it's an over the top request, nor do I think 5 seconds of typing is a difficult assignment. smile.gif

the map also helps... but the profile is the first.

it does help to diagnose something especially if it's super cold in their area - can contribute to different reactions

Yup, and cops should quit policing the streets because after all some people speed and others don't. Let's let nature take it's course.

It's Mitches right, and in fact his job, to keep an eye on things and work to make this not only an enjoyable experience, but also a usefull one to all the club's members. I don't mind these reminders at all because I've even forgot to do things and need a kick in the pants every once in awhile.

I feel bad for Mitch sometimes. I used to work in a position where all I heard was complaints from customers. I had to give bad news all the time. Not often (in fact almost never) did a customer actually give a compliment to me about the business I worked at. It's easy for people to complain, but for some reason it's a task to draw out enthusiasm.

We have so many great experienced and helpful people from all world (including you Paul) that simply narrowing down a location to even a region would be helpfull. Same as putting the year and model car in your profile. As they say, knowledge is power. Power to the People!

Wow Paul, there is definitely a cement wall on YOUR wrong side of the bed...

Take a breather and relax! I see absolutely no bitching in Mitch's post... Suggestions, yes!
