Hello Fellow EC Members!

I received a PM from an EC member who would like to remain anonymous. He's willing to match any donations made to the Tammy memorial GofundMe page or donations made to through the club's Paypal donation system or simply Paypal a donation to elantragt_02@yahoo.com directly. Meaning, if you donate say $50, to help Mitch, this generous member will match it, all the way up to total donations of $500. This amazing match offer begins today and ends April 25th.

Let's make this happen and help Mitch in a way that will make him feel like people do care.

He is really suffering emotionally these days.

Thanks.

Leslie

The offer that this member has made is incredibly kind and overwhelmingly generous. I am shocked by their kindness.

I know it's hard for people to understand what I'm going through. Losing your spouse is like losing a big part of yourself. You share everything with them. They know you better than anyone else. They know how to make you feel better. And in the case of Tammy and me... we not only shared our love, we shared in the battle to overcome Tammy's numerous medical challenges. Right now, I just am lost, alone, in deep grief and clueless as to what my life means now.

This memorial fund will help me with immediate bills that have to be paid. And would help in repairing the storm damage to my house. Obviously, it will not help with want I really need at this time... bringing Tammy back.

My niece had a conversation where she told Tammy about the movie "The Notebook". Tammy told her she wanted us to die together in bed, hand in hand, in each others arms, old and gray... similar to what happened in that movie. That thought just makes me cry so hard. A part of me wishes I went with her March 6th. Why did she have to suffer for much of her life and then, when we had hopes for the future, be taken away forever????

Thank you to the anonymous member for his offer and if you would like to help by donating, I would certainly welcome the help.

Last but not least I want to thank some members who have let me talk about my grief on the phone. People like Vinnie, Leslie (Babyh), Frank (VIG), Dave (popeye) and Telly (silet) have helped a lot. Knowing someone cares makes a real difference.

If any members here would like to talk on the phone, feel free to PM me.

Everyone reading this: Help a man out. one dollar, two, five or ten. This is an incredibly generous offer and it would be remiss of anyone reading this not to send something. Even though of us who have already donated... Including myself.

Just sent $100. It is not much, but I hope it helps to keep the site up and running. Besides, I like to lighten others wallets. This post should also be stickied on the main forum page or up top, it is hard to find.

I want to thank those who have donated to help so far. Your kindness hasn't gone unnoticed.

Losing Tammy has been the most difficult, unimaginable thing I've ever experienced. I've lost both my parents and all my grandparents. Nothing prepares you for the loss of your spouse, your soul mate, your everything, your reason for living. It affects every aspect of your life. My Tammy truly was my whole word and the only one in my life who really loved me unconditionally. My days are filled with sadness, loneliness and emptiness. I've cried so much I've gotten dehydrated from it. I have to remember I'm supposed to eat and drink water at some point during the day.

I think about all the plans me and Tammy had for our future together. I simply don't understand why this gentle, loving, beautiful inside and out woman was given so many medical and emotional hardships in her life. And how she was taken at only 45 years old. It's impossible to explain and it makes this life unbearable..

I'm trying my best to continue on in life. I know Tammy (though she'd understand my overwhelming sadness) would only want the best life for me. It's just very hard to think about a future filled with this gut wrenching anguish.

- Mitch

One more day on the matching folks, do I need to read from the PBS playbook here?!? Should I ask Ira Glass to do a spot for EClub?

1, 2, 5, 10 or 20 dollars, donate by tomorrow and have that matched, how easy is that? We're helping a fellow human being who is in a difficult situation and needs our help.

So please, out of the kindness of your heart please help this man, he really could use it right now. Thank you.
