Does installing an after market Cat Back system void your warranty. Looking at installing one from JUN BL on my 2013 Limited. Thanks for the input.

probably not. if you have a problem with your aftermarket exhaust system do not expect the dealer to fix it for free.

that being said, if you have a problem with something unrelated, the warranty totally sticks.

Welcome to the club! It would be helpful to fill out your location in your profile as how I am going to respond assumes you are in the US, so if you are not this won't be applicable but there is a federal laww called the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act that prevents a manufacturer from denying warranty coverage solely because the consumer used an aftermarket part, unless it can be proved that the aftermarket part caused the defect. So if you have an issue with your exhaust system, don't expect it to be covered if you purchase an aftermarket part, but if something goes wrong with say your radio, that will still be covered.

Check out some more detail including the full text of the law (great Friday night reading laugh.gif ) here!!!

Any other questions, just ask. Also feel free to post up some pics of your new ride and introduce yourself!

It does not void the warranty but you would have a hell of a time getting anything from the muffler tip - to the engine covered under warranty - unless it's stock. In this case it's not so no easy coverage on anything from the block to exhaust tip from Hyundai.

Would you have cut outs in the back of your car (lower bumper) for the exhaust tips? I've always wanted to do this but not sure if a cut out is possible. I wouldn't want the exhaust tips to hang below the car. It would need to look like the car came that way, not added on. If cut outs, who does that kind of work? Probably a different shop than the one installing the exhaust system. Anyone have any info to share on this? I have a body kit and I absolutely love the piano black piece (rear skirt) on my car and would love to have a cut out on the right side for an exhaust tip to make it look the same as say the elantra coupe model or the new elantra sport models
