Hey all,
for the life of me i cannot find where the oil filter is situated under the car. I dont have a jack so i havent been able to lift the car yet, and ive been searching all over only to come up empty handed. can someone tell me the easiest way to go about this, also where its located at under the car. It's a Beta, so it's on the passenger side, front of the engine block. Likely will have a plastic cover held on by 2 10mm bolts. Basically: Under the alternator.

Once you get under, it's pretty easy to get to. Just remove the shield.

shield... riiight - haven't seen one of those on my car since I got it!
That's what'll happen when the previous owner takes it to those quick lube places - you'll end up with a lighter car. If you've done oil changes before, finding the filter shouldn't be too hard. -------------------- carPC Build Thread | My Elantra Site | My Fiero Site | My WebSite | Donate here to keep ElantraClub online and growing. |
