You should not be getting that at all, ever, especially now with a brand new car. Have your dealership examine it and they might replace the whole headlight assembly. If they do that, ask what you would need to do to get the faulty one. I'm sure someone around here would be interested in it.

I got it in mine about 4 months after I got it. About 2 weeks ago, I took the covers of the headlight assembly inside the engine compartment and drove for about an hour with the highbeams on and then when I stopped, put the caps back on. About 90-95% of the condensation is gone. I just have not had time to go to the dealer about it, although I need to soon, since I am almost @ 12,000 miles, and want to make sure they will cover it.

I have a huge problem with condensation , because my car was in a accident before i bought it and the guy that fixed it didnt do a good job. Im gonne try your idea sounds great! but! im really like my car and am always worried about it always walking back to it to make sure i turned off my lights or that it is in park. By me taking the covers off can it hurt the car in anyway???? -------------------- |

By me taking the covers off can it hurt the car in anyway???? There are little covers that are on the inside of the hood,on the back side of the headlight, they cover the access to the bulbs. The Pass side is real easy to get to, the drivers is slightly behind the battery. If the housing is not completly sealed though, it will keep coming back. Here is a pic in my Tucson, but it is the same idea for the Elantra. It just twists about 1/8 of a turn counter clockwise and pulls off. Yep. Will do and reply if it works. But my headlights are also aimed differently my left beam is hits here - and my right beam hits here _ so its like this -_ . If thats a good explenation. I think when the guy fixed my car he put it in one of the bulbs backwards, anyhelp about switching it. When i get home today i will try to post a pic of it here on the forums.

I did respond to you when asked before about it: http://www.elantraclub.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=101&hl= QUOTE (silet @ Feb 1 2005, 10:06 PM) Check the bulbs if they are in right. They have a tab that, I think, has to point down. I had replaced one and put up-side down and caused the same affect you're talking about.
