I raced a modified XD (03gt on EXD) and everytime I sped up, he'd get further behind.

Will drive my XD into the ground, then want to get something a bit sportier. We'll see how the new tib comes out. I also like the Mazda/Mazdaspeed 3.

Hi all, Been away for like almost 2 years I think. I have an 05 GT hatch and at the time there wasn't alot of mods I could get.. seemed alot of the parts were 00 to 04 and just not available for 05.... so I went away and now I am back. biggrin.gif

I have done a few mods:
tib sway bar
Musa strut brace
short Ram air intake

but I digress....

what the heck is this HD? is it like the new XD but different? I tried to do a search but could not get it to search on HD. rolleyes.gif

HD is just the letter designation for the 2007+ Elanrolla, er Elantra, like XD and XD2 were the designations for the 2001-2006 Elantras.

After all the mods I've to my car I'll keep for at least another 100,000 miles and then move up- Volvo wagon or BMW wagon. This car is fun but I need more room! Well...........if I put the turbo on it I'll have to keep it till I die........ biggrin.gif

I wonder how many people are actually going to keep their XD's until they die.
I mean, if the car is used as a taxi (which it is), I'd say it's good for well over 500,000 miles with regular maintenance.
For real.

That's a very good point.

Mark, remember that guy that worked for a courier and owned the Hyundai Excel with 1,000,000k's on it? Hyundai gave him a brand new Accent!

I want at least 350,000km out of mine. Especially since it's been very well looked after and regularly serviced.

The problem will be when the odd, random parts start going, and you can't easily find replacements. I'm starting to run into the problem with my Elantra where random stuff will fail, and the only replacement is hard-to-find/expensive.
