In front of the shifter is the supplementary jacks. There is no power going to the USB port. Hyundai said because of the Rosen. They told me that is why there is a hardwired cable in my glovebox. According to them, those ports worked with the original unit and that I might get a stereo shop to tap power back to them. I will be testing all ports/jacks and coffee makers in my car today!

Is this hooey or true?

Hmm that seems odd. I guess its possible the new headunit isn't wired to read the factory USB drive, but I would think it would be. Is there a USB port somewhere on the headunit?

No there is not a USB Port on the headunit. I took the plug from Eric's Fe that has the Aux/USB all in one cord and tried that in my car. It powered the Ipod, but did not play the audio through it. So it gets juice using Hyundai's cord but no audio.....maybe it isn't adaptable to aftermarket units or that it gets disconnected when installing the Rosen.

The only adapter that plays music and charges is the cord in the glovebox. The 12v works just fine.
