Tmat:
That will need a lot of touch-up or a total repaint of the part (bumper?). It looks like you also got hit below the black molding as well. That will have to be sanded and filled in with fiberglass, which that is hard to patch and not crack on you. Most shops elect to replace the part even with that small of it damaged. Bugs: It looks as you might have bent the front subframe a little, which I would check to be sure it is squared up. I also suspect the front suspension could be tweaked from the looks of the rim. On Gelicious's car, that is a fairly easy fix. Popping out the dent and smoothing out the bumper cover and painting the quarter and bumper cover is all that it needs (if the light isn't cracked. -------------------- "Childhood is measured by sounds and smells and sights before the dark hour of reason grows"

QUOTE (cclngthr @ Mar 27 2005, 01:16 AM) I agree. The frame check/pull is already included in the estimate if needed. -------------------- |

Well, it all began last year in November. I was in the school parking lot and school just let out. Shortly after, a chevy truck with a six-inch lift plowed right into me. My car slid about three feet almost pushing me into the car beside me. Boy was I furious. In the close-up picture of my tire, you can see a dark area. That was were my car was touching the pavement as it slid that three feet. If you look closely in the picture of the top of my hood, you can see where the hood is overlaping the right fender. Also, in the picture of my grill, you can see where the front fender is detached from my hood. I needed my whole front end replaced: Front and both side fenders, hood, one headlamp, and one fog lamp. I usually get out of school every day around 2:30. That particular day, the schedule was changed and I got out when school was released at 3:30. If there had been no schedule change that day, I wouldn't have had my accident. That was my first "fender bender". I hope I don't have another.

Very Bad news
I have finally had my first accident and unfortunately it happened to my elantra which i just finsihed swapping to 5-spd as some of you know. Thankfully though, it was a single car crash. I was driving over some railroad tracks about 25-30 mph when i felt my tire grab something on the road (a large rock or rut). After the tracks, the road sloped down and became a gravel road. My car fishtailled out and i tried to countersteer, but on gravel it is very hard. I hit a tree head on. I need a radiator, bumper core, one headlight (my clear corners were not damaged at all, i need a radiator core support, and a hood. Also, the nose frame of the car which the crossmember for the transmission is connected to is bent. the right side of the front is fine, but the left side is crushed (the headlight bucket is destroyed and all that part of the frame. I am very dissapointed that this happened to me. I could of driven to my friends house from there even with the radiator damanged, cause there was still fluid in the system and i wouldnt have to worry about my car overheating since my friend lived a couple blocks away. But, some assh*ole neighbor called 911 and i got cited for Failure to Control. I did no property damage, just damnage to my car. I was fine. I wore my seatbelt. I refused treatment when the ambulance showed up. I believe the car is fixable. I need the nose part off of another car (the frame) and i have a friend that can weld. I took some pics, i can show u guys after i get them developed,. Im driving a corsica to drive for now but it is such a shame. I really miss my car. -------------------- A proud member of the club.

Well I hate to have to post to this part of the forum. But my car has officially been broken into. I live in Atlanta (Buckhead area), and a warning to the burglars who broke into my car. If I catch you, you will pay. The funny thing is they smashed my driver's side window and attempted to steal my JVC deck. Well nothing was stolen just broken glass all over my car and my now broken JVC stereo.
A personal note to the burglars: If you are going to smash my window and cost me hundreds of dollars atleast steal something. My CDs were still in the car, my jacket was still in my car and atleast take my deck. -------------------- A proud member of the club.
