Well here is my 10" shallow Pioneer subwoofer in my spare tire. It sounds great.

Sounds amazing. I use to have the tiburon enclosure which was nice. But this gives a great amount of bass without the loss if my trunk

Looks sick I love this concept! I'll be doing something along these lines when I get a new car (not for a while hahaa). Only thing I would do is just remove the spare all together and put the enclosure there. Allows a full 10. Not a huge fan of how shallow subs sound. But hey - to each his own and you did a great job with this!

I wasn't a huge fan of shallows but the pioneer shallow has amazing reviews on the quality of sound. I use to have a 12" when I was younger. I am debating about buying a full spare and then fiberglassing a 12" enclosure. But I hate working with fiberglass and I would have to wait till I have access to a garage.

Bringing an 8 month old thread back to life because I'd like to tackle this project as first mod on my new 14 GT. I've installed a few basic systems but little experience with subs. What parts needed? What does it feed from for stock system?
