Ultra-low sulfur diesel (ULSD) is slowly making it's way to market. You would think that we would see more diesel cars coming out shortly too. The only thing that I can see to hold it back is the corngas lobby. And I think that it is a mighty likely possibility, because they have already successfuly wooed the Feds to eliminate real competition through subsidies and mandates.

It would seem to be a winning proposition for the oil companies, 'cause the diesel is lower in the cracking process than gasoline, yet it is generally sold at more $$ per gallon. However, the oil companies also have so much invested in this biofuel business, 'cause they know that Fed mandates and subsidies will make the market, so they are probably willing to cannibalize their diesel market.

Darn politics preventing us from getting a diesel in the US. Hmm, how much to import a diesel from Canada (assuming they get one)...

i thought the beta was going to be phased out for whatever it is in the Caliber...?

Beta's had a 10 year run already.. geesh.

looks decent.. not my style... but 'touring' shouldn't just be a label.

Oh no, I'm so sorry... the correct answer is The Moops.

The packaging clearly stated '100'. I'm short ONE luft balloon.

About those world engines, I hope Hyundai can tune it better than Dodge can. The Caliber gets abysmal fuel mileage, and does not have decent acceleration times. A friend of my girlfriend's rented an 07 Caliber, and complained about how thirsty it was.

I like the Saab better than the i30 hatch...

i30 hatch reminds me of a VW or a KIA spectra... needs more hatch (like the XD had)

The Sonata Theta (2.4L) is doing well for Hyundai. Gets better mileage than the caliber.
