I've been considering buying this hood pad from eBay but it ships free only if it is folded. Seller says it will not be damaged but I'm skeptical. Also says can be shipped to me unfolded if I pay $20 for Express Delivery. Has anyone bought this folded? Pay for the Express Delivery? Any recommendations?

Hey-I bought my hood pad for an '11 Elantra from the dealer, before they had a part #, which I furnished to them. I don't think I paid much more than the ebay pad and I got the clips with mine. It's a solid panel so folding it would put creases in it most likely. Price one at your dealer. It's well worth having one on the car. I'm glad my GT came with it.

Hey-Tossed all the '11 Elantra receipts when I traded it in. The dealer will have that info.

I purchased my Hood Insulator pad from Nice Motors on E-Bay for $ 80.00 complete shipping included. It fit like a glove and no problems with it being shipped folded. I went to my dealer here in Des Moines and they wanted $130.00 plus sales tax and would need to order it. I received the item in two weeks from Korea and the 10 clips were included but you only need 8 clips It took less than 5 minutes to install and it does cut down on Engine noise. I installed the part on a 2013 Elantra GLS. Nice motors also has many other accessories on their E-Bay site. I am very satisfied with my purchase.

I bought and installed the hood pad. Installed in 2 minutes the folded nature was no issue.

Wish I had seen responses earlier. Decided to play safe & have insulator shipped unfolded so I paid extra for shipping. Figured would still be cheaper or the same as ordering from a dealer. I Did receive a bag full of clips - think I have a dozen extra + 2 bags of Korean tea.

Good stuff. I put a hood insulator on my Genesis Coupe and really liked it. This is worth considering because I like to keep the noise down. All these forums do is make me want to spend more money...

Hey-You're right but at least you can see what did and didn't work for others and make informed decisions on the mods.
