Heidi, you do know that Russia is the world's largest nation by area (almost twice the total area of the USA), and that there are parts that extend further north than the northernmost part of Alaska, right? This time if year it does get rather cold in the northern extremes. My aunt used to live in Fairbanks, AK, and she has some crazy stories of weather in the -60º range!
