Very cool. smile.gif The only vehicle that I've been in control of that ran close to that RPM was a 2-stroke single cylinder Kawasaki AR50. The bike would do about 94mph with a 93cc block, shaved and scooped head to match the new bore, re-veined crank (all 3 custom machined by BDK), 28mm flat-slide carb, 17 front sprocket, 35 rear sprocket, etc... I've often wondered how a 4-stroke could hit the same RPM and not have engine parts explode everywhere on a regular basis.

THIS is my buddy's AR. I was slightly off on the specs....I can't blame myself though, it was done over 10 years ago! They used a dykes rings piston and my buddy used a single ring standard aluminum racing piston. He was able to hit just about 18k rpm. If you went above 14k rpm with the dykes rings piston the rings would be torn off of the piston...my buddy found out the hard way! (expensive race!)
