well as far as the rattle can UV stuff goes, you can find a variety of prices and claims on how to cure it. I cant speak to the longevity of the cheaper stuff. i did however see a 150 dollar job, that was done with the expensive stuff and a bright UV light, and it looked pretty nice. guy said it was over a year old, and it looked like new.

I guess if one owned a more expensive car that might make sense economically, but a pair of assemblies for a 2005 Elantra is around $100 so...

renulite... thats the stuff i was shown before... i couldnt remember it before. it just hit me. and your exactly right, unless you had some custom LEDs or projectors or something, the oem replacements or a 5 dollar buff every few months is the way to go.

I will second the "women are tough on cars" statement. It is amazing what I find in my wife's car when I clean it. Granted she runs our 3 kids plus friends all around town so I don't blame her, but there normally is a suitcase worth of clothes, a giant bag of paper, a couple pairs of shoes and food crumbs in every crevice that comes out of her car each time it's cleaned! laugh.gif

I am one lucky dude. My wife while not really into cars and doesn't really understand even after 37 years of being married why I'm into them so much. She has always done an excellent job of taking care of her cars. Granted I do all the cleaning, waxing, detailing, and maint. on her cars but she has always been very careful on how she treats her rides.
