Toe, I think you would do SOOOOO Much better on some 225's. I REALLY think 205's on our Portly 'Lantras is too small.

Ok, i know Toe has the Elantra coils, but what coils did Late have?

Toe: If that guy has done up his 240 properly, there probably won't be any beating him with the Elantra. Tho is it an S13 or S14? S13 came with only a SOHC while the S14 got a DOHC.

STS requires NO engine swaps. So it'll be stock-whatever. Also, just because his car is "set-up correctly" doesn't mean he can drive it. I consistantly out-drive far superior cars that I shouldn't be because they are timid.

Tim was running the same thing Scott was running, Tib K-sorts and the progress 22mm. You should hae seen the left rear. . . it looked like someone covered it in oil and then coated it with dirt and grime. The front rubber cushions had worked out, the upper pillow mounts were rusty. . . NOT a good choice for DD IMO.

It's a '95, so it is a S14. The engine is a stock KA24DE, which produces 157 HP & 162 ft-lbs. The car is as heavy as the Elantra, but is rear wheel drive. However, I agree with Bob, if I was a better driver I could beat it with the Elantra, but the guy that drives this car is pretty damn good, so I really have my work cut out for me.

^ I love that saying!

Hey Toe- I'm thinking after looking at Tims old stuff that I would highly recomend greasing those pillow-mounts regularly and WD-ingthe coils and their threads.

If the guys good, then no you wont beat him. The 240 has a lower center of gravity and more power. Along with better options when it comes to suspension mods. It would take a real novice behind an S14 for you to beat it. Now if it were an S13 then it would be a competition.

As far as RR vs RX vs AX vs DR. Requires different styles of driver. For me tho, drag is too boring and auto-x too confusing and slow/small. So I prefer RR and RallyX

If you look at my times compared to those in other classes you will find that I have bitch slapped guys in Porches, a Corvette or two, a Viper and I believe one Lotus... all with the Elantra.

In my feeble attempt to get back on topic, referring to the pictures, it looks like you need to wash your hands Bob. Does your wife let you touch anything with those grimy paws?

Then they are either absolute chickens or horrible drivers and don't deserve those cars. I will maintain that the 240 is the superior car.
