Guys and Gals,
Just wanted to let you know that Mitch (ElantraGT) has been a bit MIA these last couple days as Tammy is in the hospital. She went in early Sunday morning with a bad infection which with her auto immune condition is a very serious matter. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up as to why he hasn't been around here. Lets all show him our EC Love and pray for Tammy and his family. Also, a few more weeks left in the Annual Donation Drive. If you haven't chipped in, please consider a donation to keep this club going. This club stays alive thanks to the generous donations and support from its fantastic members. We're still in the hospital. For those that don't know, Tammy has Systemic Lupus and two other autoimmune disorders. It means that, for her, even a cold could turn into something much worse.
She's was feeling bad for a bit last week. Had a cough and was miserable. Also, due to her long term use of Prednisone her skin is very frail and shes developed skin ulcers... Well, early Sunday morning she was in bed when one of those ulcers started to hemorrhage. Bloods was squirting out and it was bad. I tried to stop the bleeding to no avail. I called 911 and she was rushed to the ER. At the hospital, she was stabilized and the bleeding was stopped. Tests began and it was determined she had a very bad infection... actually several infections. And for someone with a weak immune system...well.. that's not good. During that first night something else happened. Something scary. Her face started to swell up... massively on one side. I won't be online much til Tammy gets better. I can't promote the fund drive or drive activity. I can't approve new member apps. I did make seafunk a Lifetimer though. So I ask those who love EC to keep things going well while I'm away. It's been a rough week but I've been here at Tammy's side 24/7. She's not out of the woods yet but she's a fighter. As an aside EC works pretty decent on my phone.
