There is literally no gas in the Greater New York area. Does anyone know of a gas station that has gas? I think I have enough gas to go 100 miles to get it.

Anywhere in Upstate NY or Connecticut area?

Everything is normal from Poughkeepsie to Kingston. A few pockets of power outages, but everything is functioning normal.

Hope you guys are doing well. Thank god I'm not in Hoboken, NJ anymore. Basically my car would have been under water.

It is pretty bad out here...my father's house in Sheepshead Bay had a basement full of water. Looters hit the streets out there in such force that the cops had to call in the national guard to quell the marauding bands.

Kinda shows what sucked about this storm. One thing for it to have hit a hurricane readied state like FL but another to hit a state that rarely sees one.

ElantraGT5speed, how are you doing? We have long lines up here now from people coming up to fill up. New Paltz and Newburg had stations run out of gas. I am spending the day clearing out the yard and I have a maple tree down.

yeah this storm sucked...I had to live at the hospital for four days. Sleeping on a stretcher in the dept. The power just came on the other day. Fam was living in the dark with no heat for like 5 days...it kinda sucked.

There are trees down everywhere and with a new storm coming at the end of the week...it should be interesting.

Funny thing...i spent 5 years in FL never dealt with a hurricane...come back home...and BOOM! o well.

That tho is why the Cape was built where it was. Farther south or farther north in FL and hurricane chances go up. Having been here (on the Space Coast) since 95, There been several close pass bys but only a few landfalls (one cat 2, couple of cat 1s, and 4 or 5 trop storms)

silet, I drove up to Carmel for gas and filled my tank to the brim. I found a resource for anyone who needs gas (this is a secret list) =)

Damn so many people were hit by this tragedy.

I heard that the military has some command posts setup giving out 10gal per person for free. While it's a great thing and stops the dangerous situations and assaults at the stations... all locations need some major support and work to get things back on track.
