Does anyone else have trouble getting their windshield/back windshield "smear" free or completely clean (on the inside of the car) I'm not sure whether the windshield protection that I got on the car is causing this to be such a battle or what. I actually purchased a specific tool to clean the windshield "really good"...it's been raining all day so I have yet to see if it helped. Does anyone have any suggestions to help me be able to actually see while driving?!

What product are you using... Windex or something like that? I recommend something specific for cars.
I have pretty good luck using this and a clean, soft microfiber cloth. Then, buff the windshield with another dry microfiber cloth. No streaks. -------------------- |

Yeah, I use the Invisible Glass already but bought this little thing to actually be able to reach the entire window...since it's so long. Just seems like that bad boy will not get clean and in direct sunlight it is terrible!

Do you buff it with a dry microfiber cloth after cleaning?

I read some great advice here on EC... 2 micro fiber cloths..one is very damp (not dripping but wet) and the other is dry. No cleaner, no chemicals, no streaks

First try to use Dawn dishsoap in water and wash the window. Then dry with a microfiber towel.
Then for maintenance cleaning definitely use the Invisible Glass. Important points: windex or other household window cleaners aren't good. Definitely use good microfiber towels. -------------------- A proud member of the club.

I really think I have additional window problems since applying RainX to the windshield. It seems like it cause some kind of extra fogging on the inside of the windshield, as it's moist on the inside in the mornings. Not anywhere else on the inside of the car though. Strange, but maybe the condensation cycle makes the inside windows dirtier.
But, it's nothing Invisible Glass and a MF can't get rid of...I too have one of those extensions with the MF attachment...works great. Good luck! -------------------- My DD 2007 Dodge Charger Hemi R/T - 17 MPG --- My 2011 Chevy Camaro RS - 18 MPG

Hi , i used newspaper on my windows and it did wonders. I used a clean dry cloth to wipe it dry and remove the smears. Linda

i always thought the big thing with newspaper was that it doesnt leave those little dust things that paper towels would always leave. microfiber though, works wonders. invisible glass for the win.

lint-free blue shop towels. no risk of having tiny particles in the cloth that may scratch up the windshield.

ive always found that no matter what you use (microfiber works the best for me), elbow grease is what gets the job done. sometimes with the film that develops, a quick wiping will not do the job, you really have to scrub every inch of the window.
