A used Protege5 would have been my pick until I decided to buy my car new. Either one would be a good pick. At this point, I would say that it's his preference one way or the other. I would figure that the resale values would be similar.

I managed to find another P5 for about 7500 with 85k on the odometer Silver 5spd... really tempting to trade my car for that one as I am not a fan of red cars

No P5s around but did come across an 00 Maxima for $4300 (dont know mileage) Supposedly those 3.0 engines are supposed to be long lasting.

No, ur just making assumptions now. If we didnt want drums whatsover, half those cars wouldnt be on the list. But it will be on of the decision factors when it finally comes to buying a car. If two are close in mileage n price, then we will favor the disc setup. Right now tho, I'm actually leaning towards preferring a car with ABS on it.

White 03 Elantra sedan just join the lists at $4900 with only 58k! Just dont know if he can get the money in time for it.
