The wheelbase looks more like the Eurospec Sonata; check out the length of the rear passenger door; or is it Elantra goes luxury confused-scratchhead3.gif

The wheelbase is definitely longer which is a good thing. There's also a noticeably shorter hood and rear deck. This is to ensure a bigger interior. So far, I'm really liking what Hyundai has done here.

it will have been 3+years since the HD came out...hyundai usually cycles its vehicle every 3-4 years. Escpeically of late because they keep getting better and better.

Actually, going by recent history we would be up for a refresh of the HD. This is a whole new platform.

I think they realized the HD wouldn't work as a cross platform to replace the aging Spectra line and moved onto the MD platform to replace both.

Other than that I'm really baffled by the creation and sudden disappearance of the HD. These models take a lot of time and resources to create.
