hello EC, happy new year. if you were in the market for a flip key for your 03 GT hatch, which one would you buy? one of the two remotes works, but both shells were opened with a hammer or a can opener when the previous owner went to replace the batteries and the shells dont lock together anymore. seems like the electronice are good in one of them as i swapped batteries and still only one worked.

are all of these sites still active? i havent bought from any one of them in years...

there is this from SR;
http://www.sharkracing.com/01-06-elantra-e...witchblade-key/

this from kspec;
http://kspec.com/list.php?ac_id=72&ai_id=2586

and these two from koreanautoimports;
http://koreanautoimports.com/elantra-new-esi-flip-key/

http://koreanautoimports.com/elantra-exklusive-folding-key/

also there are these ebay finds;

http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-Buttons-Remote-F...a88&vxp=mtr

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Only-Shell-Flip-Fo...0c5&vxp=mtr

thanks for your input

I would just get one of the eBay ones. Most hardware stores can cut that key blade for you. I did a flip key with my old Corolla. It was ok.

As far as I know they are all still in business. It seems I have heard negative feedback for pretty much all of the Korean vendors mostly relating to shipping time and lack of communication so just be aware of that if you decide to purchase anything from them.

Definitely just order the eBay one and put your key fob component into it. I was thinking of getting a flip key too. On eBay I think they are around $10-15.

I would suggest that none of the keys you linked are likely to work.

There's a LOT of confusion about the differences between accessories for the 2001-2006 (XD, XD2, third-generation) and 2006-2010 (HD, fourth generation) series. I think the confusion started when they offered the HD is 2006 and aftermarket parts makers assumed if it fit a 2006 HD, it was backwards compatible.

I assume your key and fob looks like the attached image?
