Let me try to explain what this wiki thing is all about. I've setup the categories I'd like articles written to. Members need to add their articles to the appropriate category. And this is key.. these articles can be simple, short whatever. They don't have to be full blown 15 page articles. Remember, one person can get an article started and other members build on it. I just have the feeling no one has written anything because they're worried they dont have a huge detailed article to write about. Also, the idea of moving the DIY Zone into the wiki area, while an interesting idea, isn't the idea behind Elantrawiki. We have the DIY forum here at the club to discuss if DIY's need updated information. If it simply looks like the Wiki or the new "Times" section or other features simply aren't being used, I'll delete them. No need to have elements at the club no one cares about.

Thanks for adding the horn project Ed. thumbsup.gif

To show you how this works.. I added a photo as well as some additional information and some highlighting after Ed wrote the article. This is how this thing works. Any member can edit anything. Hopefully, every article will get improved and updated. I think this is one of the coolest things we have and a great way to get members feeling like they are contributing to the club.

Here's the article as it looks now:

I went ahead and re-did the setup a little. The subcategories have been eliminated for simplicity sake (the can always be added later when we have more articles).

Thanks muchly Mitch thumbsup.gif

We did just uncover a glitch though... I was editing same time as you adding the picture and I seem to have lost my edits. I went under history but seem unable to view differences confused-scratchhead3.gif

I emailed a buttload of TSB's that I regularly get to you..

Are you trying to get this similar to a DIY or have that a different thing?

I see them. confused-scratchhead3.gif The main issue I see s the rating system doesn't work right and will probably be ditched.

No Colin... this is an articles system. You add articles on every topic covered. Any other member can go ahead and edit an article (yours or someone else's) for grammar, added content, corrections etc. It's meant to be a knowlegebase about everything automotive, Elantra and Hyundai.

I'm using Firefox.

If I go under "Options"->"Article History" and then select "Compare with current" for the edits I made at 2:38 (same time as you) I get a "Done" in the status bar on an empty page.

No worries this time as they were only quick edits that I can redo but I thought you should know we have a concurrency issue
