I asked him today and he said we haven't had an aussie made 3.0L V6. The last 3.0L V6 we've had was back in the day around 1986 to mid 1987. It was built by Nissan. It was last seen in the VL Commodore (Pictured below)

Other than that after the 3.0 Holden started using the American 3800 Engine (3.8)

Australia's major exporting engine is the 1.8 and 2.0 Family II engines which can be found in the Suzuki Reno and Most of the Daewoo models to name a few. It was first seen in the Holden Camira back in the 80's.

Is Saturn a Nissan?

If you have any other questions Ed my dad said he'd be happy to answer them. He got all excited when I mentioned Holden... He knows nothing about Hyundai's so yeah ...

Btw he said it was a really good engine. Holden stopped using because it was costing too much to import them from Japan.
