The blogs that come with the new software are much improved over the old ones. And I really hope people start getting into them a little more (I'm just as guilty and I'm just now starting to get back into working on mine ). Any member can read and add comments to other people's blogs; VIP's can create their own blog.

One of the cool things is that you can add "custom content blocks" to personalize them. For example, I added one with a pic of my car. You can add anything you can think up. You can add categories to organized your blogs by subject. Actually, once you play around with the blogs, they're pretty fun. It's a good way to get something off your chest or get feedback from other members about things.

Again, this is something that makes EClub a little unique.

One fun tip for our bloggers: You can move the content blocks around by dragging them on your screen.

trust me, im working on a big story right now that will be posted up when it is done. it may be a long read, but if you are into the "darker" literature, you may just like it.

lets just say its about a drug dealer that gets whats coming to him

The blogs are offline for a complete revamp. Look for a totally new look and features similar to the blogs you see on the regular blogging sites. Hopefully more VIP's will start and maintain one.

The new software has a few glitches and one that's somewhat major but there's an easy workaround:

The RTE (rich text editor) does not work with the blog system. If you add your new entry with it, you'll get an error. Simple fix: Post using the standard text editor. Simple.

Hopefully, by later tonight or tomorrow the blogs will be back up. Check http://www.elantraclub.com/forum/index.php?autocom=blog&blogid=1& out then to get an idea of what can be done, ok?

Ok... the new blogs will be ready in a bit. Remember, if you're starting a new entry use the standard editor not the RTE (rich text editor) because of the glitch. Otherwise, all should be ok. Definitely an all new look.

Blogs are online. Again, I want to point out the Rich Text Editor (also known as wysiwyg) does not work with the blogs, so you must use the standard editor to add an entry. Check my blog out to see how it looks.

ooopsss... Too bad I forgot about that. I had a new blog entry all set to go in the RTE and all that I got was a blank page.

Remember folks... use the standard text editor only in the blogs.

At the top of the page, click on Community and from there in the drop down list you will see community blogs. I personally haven't posted one in a while, but my garage is going to grow like wildfire when I get all my tax return goodies in the mail

If'n I ever get my hands on a USB/IDE adapter, I'll update mine. My pics from the amp build have been locked on the old box since it puked, and I haven't gotten around to getting a freakin' adapter yet.
