That EClub is full of surprises? Even though they're subtle and witty, they still catch my attention and make me realize and take notice the little things.
I'm talking about the "Hyundai owners and Enthusiasts and Ghouls" title on the Forum, the Happy Halloween sign, and Stabby McStabberson in the corner over there. This is pretty off-topic, but I can say that it's nice to see a forum do that. I'm still getting used to this community, but it's a very nice way to celebrate the holiday in a simple and creative way. (: Now I get to watch out for the other holidays! -------------------- A proud member of the club.

Hey Jessie, great catch on the "Ghouls" addition. I've always tried to make EC a little different than other car communities. Stuff like the Member Showcases and the Member Blogs and Sudoku and such. I ran several non-car based communities before I started EC and I try to bring that background here to make EC more than just a dull car club.
I guess what's frustrating at the same time is that things like this (the extra work I put into EC) generally seem to go unnoticed for whatever reason. Thanks again for the post, it really does mean a lot to me. -------------------- |

Mitch, you outdo yourself every holiday... I'm guessing that, in 3 weeks, we'll be able to smell the turkey roasting.

Thanks Ben. Back in the old days we'd have a 5 page discussion on this. I'm not sure how we went from days of 400-500 posts to daily post counts in the teens. It's not the setup or look of the forum as some suggest. We had the same setup years ago when we were super active. It's perplexing.
I view EC as more than just a car club (afterall discussing the Elantra only gets boring after a while lol) but these days people just don't buy into EC as a community. Oh well I'll figure this out and make EC active again someday. -------------------- |

Thanks again for the post, it really does mean a lot to me. I'm beyond positive that it means so much to all of us that you do put this work into the Club and really do try (and succeed!) to accommodate all of us. Even with these fun little quirks and surprises. Thank you for keeping EC here and inviting for all of us! I remember that the first time I came onto ElantraClub, I signed up after only a few moments of surfing around. That's yet to ever happen on another site. I still even just lurk around a few forums. -------------------- A proud member of the club.

Look like Stabby McStabberson has fled the scene. The crime scene has been cleaned up.

Look like Stabby McStabberson has fled the scene. The crime scene has been cleaned up. Hopefully *after* all the evidence was processed... but not all the Halloween candy. Speaking of, did last night go as normal as could be expected in your part of the world, Mitch? I know your area's not all that far removed from Sandy's havoc. -------------------- |

Mitch's holiday additions are always cool to see. And Mitch has been getting more creative so it's definitely makes me more anxious to see what he thinks up next.
