I thought this might be a good idea for an ongoing thread.

Nick is a Hyundai Parts guy and he can help you with part and accessory numbers and other information. Ask away!

Note: Nick isn't on the board all the time so be patient with him.

We have something similar with our local Subie board. I think it's a great idea!

Great idea, my local dealer parts depot sucks.

Are you Hyundai-specific, or do you handle Kia as well? In the not-too-distant future, I'm going to have to think about doing the timing belt on the wife's Rio.

I'm A Hyundai and Volvo parts guy at work, but my dealer group includes KIA as well as FoMoCo, GM, Nissan, and Toyota. I can make a quick phone call and get KIA info, but it may be best for me to stick to Hyundai for the purposes of this forum.

Edit: After re-reading the above post I feel that I may have sounded like a little bit of a douche. What I ment to say was: Yes, I'll gladly help you out, but I don't have direct access to a KIA parts catalogue because Hyundai and KIA keep their parts operations separate from each other. I'll just need the last 8 numbers of your VIN and I can outsource your request to one of my unsuspecting co-workers at the KIA store smile.gif

What year? Many years use the same components as the same yera accent.

No worries. I don't have the VIN handy, but it's an '03 built before the changeover in '02 (don't remember what all that entailed, but of course I get asked almost every time I get parts for it).
