I picked up my Elantra Touring yesterday and noticed some handprints and smudges on the dash. I haven't tried to clean them yet and I'm not sure what to use since the dash is a flat black and I don't want anything oily or glossy.

Any suggestions?

Thank you,
Linda

Pour isopropyl alcohol on a paper towel and wipe the dash down. It'll remove any oily or greasy hand prints as well as streaks and dirt. Works good and evaporates quickly. Although it'll smell funky for a couple minutes, it works great.

Alcohol will work but it will strip any protectant on the dash. I've been using Poorboy's Natural Look dressing. It cleans and protects in one step and buffs off to a nice matte finish. They sell it at Autogeek which is also a sponsor of ours (use their banner on our affiliates page) and if you use code: ELANTRA at checkout, you save 10%. biggrin.gif

Thanks Vinnie and Mitch! I found the link through club affiliates and my cart is filling up. One more question- What is the best product to us on the rubber/vinyl along the outside window tracks to keep it looking new. I usually spray a tiny bit of WD-40 on a cloth and wipe it down but I was wondering if there is something better.

Thank you,
Linda

Never mind. I found two products on Autogeek.

Thanks,
Linda
