I see you went with CAI, why not keep the Ram intake, but get rid of the air box?

Thought about that (routing the CAI snorkel to the stock "ram"), but I really wasn't convinced that it's a true "ram" intake. Well, you do have a point. Say the tube reaches the under hood temp of 150 degrees (hypothetically). If you're sucking in that temperature air through the stock "ram" you're starting at an intake charge temp of approx. 150. But if you pull in external air (say at 65 degrees) then maybe the 150 degree tube only gets it up to 110 before it hits the cylinder.
