WTF!?!

And AC kit?

Posted by: QuickSilverSE07 Apr 10 2007, 05:21 PM

at the risk of sounding like a newb - whats an AC kit? AC as in air conditioning?

Posted by: ricerrx7 Apr 10 2007, 06:41 PM

It's probably a kit for those cars that didn't come with A/C from the factory.

Posted by: Silent Wolf Apr 10 2007, 09:21 PM

Part of what i was thinkin. Or power accessories kit?

Posted by: winc Apr 10 2007, 09:40 PM

Nope, where as the XD had AC standard, the new & improved <sarc> HD has AC optional.

Posted by: Bobzilla Apr 11 2007, 07:39 AM

Like the old Accent kits. You used to be able to buy an accessory A/C kit for $700 and have it installed.

Another reason why the HD SUCKS!! silly-banging.gif

Thank you! Thank you! QuicksilverSE07!

I consider it "unfortunate" that with 4 Hyundai Dealerships within a 45 mile radius of my home, all 4 seem "clueless" when you as about accessories for your newly purchased HD. The root issue is that none of the dealerships are "Hyundai only" dealerships, and they have taken on the brand to have "an econobox"-their words to sell to balance out their bread and butter gas guzzler and normally highly profitable lines-until gasoline prices started rising faster than the temperature! OK enough on that!

I have already added the accessory trunk mat and the trunk net to our 07 Elantra Limited, but getting them required ordering them over the internet. With the actual part numbers now available that you posted, some other items I wanted to add will be much easier to get.

Alas, #1 on my list is an HD radio for the Limited, but I don't think that is going to be available anytime soon for the vehicle. I have been following the threads in the Audio forum on this board, so I am hopeful.

I upgraded the wife's 2005 Camry XLS with a HD radio about 2 months ago, and we both really like it. Living in a major metro area, the station selection and programming, as well as the audio quality are really great!

Umm..I was intending to keep my HD bone-stock for DD use, but I might have to get the intake if it actually comes out. The car's just too slow lol..

anyone know if the sport shifter or air intake are available yet? I normally wouldn't buy them but if they are going to be supported by hyundai then i just may. thanks.

If you think Hyundai wants you to modify the car, forget it. They are making it more difficult to do that.

Don't know about the shifter, since it is different than the XD, but there are intakes around that fit; but you have to be aware that the ECU is cooled by the intake air. You need a cooling fan to cool it.

oh I thought it would be similar to Subaru's SPT parts. While they include things like a cat back and air intake, Subaru supports adding those mods. Yea i have read about the ECU, thats why I figured an intake available through Hyundai would take that into account.

It's 2009. I'm gonna resurrect this thread and ask you guys, is there a factory air intake out there yet for the HD???

Posted by: JohnDoe641 Aug 4 2010, 11:07 PM

Since this thread is a sticky, it's not technically necro-bumping if I post after all this time, right?

Has anyone found part numbers for the heated seats + the controls for them?

Posted by: Vex Aug 5 2010, 07:14 PM

Nope...but I noticed KAI has a kit for sale...I believe it was around $265 for the buttons, wiring, and heating elements for both front seats.

I tried to order the OE Hood Deflector for my 09 the other day. No longer available--discontinued. FYI.

I put a Weapon-R Secret Weapon intake on mine. It's a short ram intake, but has a hose you can attach that is supposed to make it more like a CAI. Installation wasn't too difficult, and I can tell a slight difference in power. The difference in sound is great! It probably only bumps gas mileage by 1-3 mpg, but everything helps.

Here's their website. http://www.weapon-r.com/home
