Sorry so many questions... BUT....

Will you be doing the "big three" and are you upgrading the battery, and alternator and cables?

Vinnie you've done an excellent job posting pictures and diagrams.

Stealth - once again I'm not too sure why you want to hook up to wires in the doors? Unless the l model has a totally different dash, all you need is a screwdriver and a thin towel. http://www.elantraclub.com/forum/index.php...ticle&id=65

For color, I'm not too sure what the color wire is. Which side speakers are you trying to hook up to? Usually the speaker wires are fairly generic colors.

White - Left Front +
White/Black - Left Front -
Gray - Right Front +
Gray/Black - Right Front -
Green - Left Rear +
Green/Black - Left Rear -
Violet - Right Rear +
Violet/Black - Right Rear -

(granted that is for my 2008 HD elantra but the wiring colors should be the same since it's still Hyundai)

the L model is a little different. I have very minimal space behind it to put the bypass in and hide it all. I am sooooooo THANKFUL to everyone on here that has been posting and reading. I see the views for this link are high which I am happy to assist a learning experience. the reason why I am doing the door wiring is easier to remove if i want to pull the system and transfer it. The connectors for your stereo look like the ones on the back of the stock head unit. but the face plate for the centre dash assembly is different. ( will need to get pix) I will have a look at the wiring colors and try it out. wish me luck. if i am successful for this, i will definitely post all the pix i can for it.

Thanks again for everyone's help.

Run the wires from the back of the head unit - extended to the RCA jack unit and put it in the glove box. In all honesty using the stock head unit, stock wiring jumping - it's just a bad design you'll be going with.
