Here's a real world pic of the Touring that makes me realize it's a lot better looking than I originally thought: thumbsup.gif

Someone in my building has one.

It's got too much chrome on the bumper, rides 1.5" too tall in the wheel wells, and needs to lose 3" of headroom to have the right proportions.

If they had given it similar proportions to the Volvo V50, we'd be ok.

in all respects if you look at it as a cross over instead of a elantra its not a bad car but i agree with ish it could use a trim and a tuck

WEll, H&R already offer springs through tire rack for the Touring..... 1.4" drop. There's the first issue. I personallylike the chrome.... but I'm wierd that way. So a lowered wagon with chrome accents!

I don't need a new car in the least, but I'd give it a test drive to see how she handled (the car not the gal in the pic... lol). I like it more than previous examples and if a lowering kit is available then that would make it more of an interesting prospect if and when I buy new again. Of course by then we might have jet powered cars... laugh.gif

I hate the tail lights. Also needs a new drive train. The 2 liter is anemic in that thing. A 2.4 theta is needed.

I really like the touring.

If I was in the market for a new car, that would be it!

Or the genesis, but thats too pricey for me smile.gif ...that and I'm a hatch fan!

Finally a decent picture of it... I've said it before, and I'll say it again... most of the pictures they use for advertising make the thing look huge compared to what it actually is. Hunter had a decent comparison, but hard to judge it stock to his modded up.

Though, I've also said that lower it a bit and remove the chrome and you've got a nice looking vehicle... So now that H&R makes lowering springs, and I'm sure you could import at least the i30 hatch front bumper to bolt on (assuming the front is the same, like it is between the XD sedan & hatch)... who's gonna be the first one to go get it?

I'm curious as to how much of the tail lights are used, and if you could paint/overlay the top section to make them a little smaller. A turbo Theta would also be ideal biggrin.gif
