.. how easy this thing is to work on. Sunday I ran out last event. Car took close to 30 runs with at least 15 different drivers. Drove it home, and an hour and 20 minutes later the entire suspension, wheels, tires and battery are back to stock.

That's something the old C4 Corvette could never do!

Just got the car re-aligned. I forgot the stock rear camber is -1.6. front is -.9. When I had the fronts at -3.5 the rear's almost looked like positive camber! laugh.gif

no one in my area... guess i'll skip it...

1hr 20min thats how long it took me just to reconnect control rod... not including removing center exhaust section.

lucky forte people

suspension alone (with spring compressor and air tools) took 3 hours...

THat's what makes coilovers so nice. They're complete so you yank the stock assembly, install the coilover and boom. done. Rear is literally 4 bolts TOTAL for the entire suspension change.

So we took the SeX to Jersey to visit the nephews. Drove 1660.9 miles, used 52.0 gallons total averaging 31.9mpg. Was a little disappointed, but 2 days were spent driving around Wall/Belmar area, sucking down gas to keep up with the BIL, and the drive home across I-80 was met with 30mph crosswinds messing things up. So not too bad.

The biggest news pertains to the rear shock replacement. I finally put the Koni sports on the rear. Unbelievable change. The roughness of the ride, the axle tramp and general suckiness of the rear suspension is gone. It's been replaced by a firm, controlled rear end with zero axle tramp/hop.

Now I need to find some Veloster front struts to stick a pair of them in the front end of hte car.
