I finally got around to adding my car and pics. Not all my mods are listed, but a decent amount so far. I plan on having pics and details for every mod of mine. Details will include pricing, where to buy, and how the install went. I just added the hvac reverse glow gauges and carbon fiber e-brake handle. So my interior is really coming along. The last engine incident is holding my mods up, but I've spent a fair amount of money on my car in the past couple of months. I have the mod syndrome, lol, please someone cure me.

ALSO - If you haven't done your garage by now and your reading this. GO DO IT NOW, lol. Great way to show off your hardwork and get some nice comments.

I'm thinking of adding stainless mesh radiator hoses and maybe getting a Optima battery and a new oil filler cap (returned the one I bought).

Right now I have:

Removed the engine dust cover
Changed to 8mm red Kingsborne performance wires w/NGK Iridiums
Have black custom ground wires
Added an SRI with Ingen heat shield, bracket, and K&N cone filter
Have a silver RRM strut bar



Nothing overly showy but I think it looks good. I'm not going to do any underhood painting.

I have spent the last 8 months with my Elantra and shes still looking great after 11,500km.

I gave her a good clean today and thought i'd put up a few glamer shots of her.

I haven't done anything more to my Elantra. Although I recently bought black license plates to blend in with the car better. I really like the look now.

I'm 100% happy with how she looks. I even find myself standing out the front just staring at her. then walk around her and check her out from every angle.

The XD is an amazing design. The new HD doesn't give me this feeling.

Hey guys, just thought I'd give you a look at my car.
It's a 2003 Ebony Black Elantra GL 1.8L 5 speed manual.


The engine cover looked a bit boring, so I thought I'd pretty it up.


Recently replaced Hyundai crooked 'H' badges with Elantra XD Badges



I wanted the car to look different, so my brother painted a Von Franco Tiki on the bonnet.




This is the stereo setup I used to have. It consisted of a Sony XAV-77 motorised 7 inch monitor and Sony DVX11A DVD player. I recently sold it.


I replaced the factory 15 inch alloys with 17 inch Speedy Holotype R's fitted with 215/40/17 Sava Intenzas.
The car in the background is my brother's Hyundai Getz.

Welp, as far as outside rating I know I need rims and exhaust so pls disreguard those options. Here are my pix. Inside pix will follow.

Hey guys, let me know what you think... I'm still going to go with new wheels, short shifter, magnaflow muffler, and suspension upgrades. I did all the painting inside myself, as well as the engine bay. I also put all the chrome on... (I like chrome) Thanks for looking guys!

In the past I've had members rate various areas of the car... (interior, for example). Now I'm putting it up as a whole. I've done a ton of modding to my car and I still am not finished. But... I think it's pretty nice right now. For someone who's original intent was a dash kit and a few cosmetic mods I've certainly transformed the car. I've done some innovations and I've had a few misses here and there too. Right now my car is getting close to complete. My goal was a euro-sedan style with a bit more handling and performance thrown in the mix. I never intended this to be a street racer, just a great daily driver with a nice shine that put a smile on my face. I think I've succeeded. Down the road I may add a chip or a few things here and there but I like where the car is at. In the suspension area I have bigger wheels and tires, the 19.2mm rear sway and the RRM front bar. Some may wonder why I don't have springs... well, there is a reason. No doubt they would be a nice addition handling wise. But again, my car is for the real world. My wheels are low offset (38mm) and are pushed out more than stock. Adding lowering springs will cause wheel rub and I'm not going to get into that mess. Performance wise, the polished throttle body, Borla exhaust and SRI have opened up the car quite a bit. The ground wires, Kingsborne performance plug wires and NGK iridiums give me a rock solid idle and more. I've personalized my interior quite a bit, from the dash to the door sills and everywhere in between I've made it mine. I have some nice exterior touches like the Cerato dual lips, GT rebadge, shorty antenna, black lip spoiler as well as the unique Fondmetal rims.

Okay so I finally posted in this particular forum.

I spent a few hours last night washing and this is my first time using Eagle 1 Nanowax. (Swirlmarks BEGONE!)

On a serious note- Sorry about the shocking photos the dealer was being a wanker. He wouldn't let me come down any earlier that 5pm.

I'll update the photos in a few weeks when I can finally take it home.

They have added the rear spoiler and tinted the windows.

These dealers are the biggest bunch of idiots I have dealt with. I told him I DONT want the stupid dealer decal on my car. So what do they do to pay me back...? Give me car mats with Kevin Dennis written on them! Wankers I tell ya!
I've notified my salesman "Hai" that I want ELANTRA mats. He said he will change them.

Shiniest Elantra - figuy68 - your shine makes me weep

Suspension/handling - oiml8 - I wanna see those SCCA autoX'ers pout when they get beat by an Elantra!

Exterior appearance - Ilanpro - Clean, mean machine!

Interior appearance - ElantraGT - I'm not a fan of the brushed aluminum, but you went all the way with it and it looks great!

Engine appearance - JPJR - no competition

Audio - Southpawboston - some may have more SPL, but I doubt any others sound as good or look as clean

Lighting - Gelicious - tried everything he could find until he found the perfect combination for him!
