QUOTE (Poriggity @ Nov 23 2011, 01:15 PM) *
Great Topic! I am not yet looking to replace my factory head unit, but I am always looking for ideas on speakers, and what works best. Great info here!!
Scott

Only caveat I have to offer for speakers is to make sure that they have butyl rubber surrounds, can handle higher wattage (50-75wRMS or so) and are from a quality maker.

I had a mate of mine install the MB Quarts in his Granduer a few years back. They were quite good speakers... They're a German company that were made in Germany, however I think they now make them in China.

He had 6' splits up front and 6x9 out back on an amp, sounded great!

Btw any photo's Bob?

So how is the new system sounding, I know Mb Quart use to be great but have dropped a little in quality but are still great speakers for the money.

No photos other than the old destroyed speaker. Everything fit like stock. Overall sound is great. I would definately buy th mbquarts again and may for the corvette.
