brian, the canadian 01-05 controls appear identical to the US 01-03 controls, but the canadian 04-05 harness was changed and is like the US 04-05 harness.

My biggest peeve is that with the carpeted floor mats installed, the heel of my left foot hits the floor before I can get the clutch pedal all the way in. It's like the floor sits too high. I sometimes really have to concentrate on getting it pushed all the way in for smooth shifts. Anyone else have this problem?

QUOTE (from Elantrick) As for Aftermarket, What's not there? Body kit selection is a bit thin, but what else is missing? Wheels, tires, short shifters, exhaust systems, intake systems, are all available. The prob is that sure there are intakes (from a 94-97 Accord lmao) and other items but the choice sucks and the companies that sell the products tend to be small and somewhat unreliable (HDK, Kore etc.) It's getting better but no way I'd call Hyundai aftermarket strong. -------------------- |

I'm not crazy about the low resale value and the higher insurance...my agent told me that they desinged to "explode on impact". I think my rates would be cheaper if I had a used Porsche. I can't wait to pay this thing off so I can drop my rate a bit. Other than that, this is a great car. -- plenty of pickup, room and it handles nice around corners at 80 . Also get up my icy hill just fine

My big sore spot is that black leather was not an option for 2005. Nothing is cooler than black leather, and I have always wanted a black on black car. Gray simply doesn't cut it. Also, I was upset that they did away with the Kenwood mp3 as standard. The big thing, though, was the leather for me.

QUOTE (BNystrom @ Jan 27 2005, 07:03 PM) Apparently, Canadian cars have the A/C and defroster separated, so Hyundai knows that this is a problem in cold climates. And that's one of my favorite features of my car. In my old car i used to hate how the A/C went on when i put the defrost on and i couldn't do a thing about it. Now i just press the A/C button and it shuts off, i love it. I voted for the thin paint. It sucks. -------------------- A proud member of the club.

QUOTE (Cite 3 @ Jan 28 2005, 08:18 PM) only thing is the heater blows cold air sometimes when its not moving, even after being on for half an hour. You might check your coolant levels. If your coolant level is low, it might still do its job but it won't get to the heater core to heat the air - particularly when the car is at idle RPM's. -Roy -------------------- |

QUOTE (BNystrom @ Jan 29 2005, 06:50 AM) BTW, is there any chance you could post a pic of your heater controls? I'm curious if they look the same as in the US model. Here's a pic of the heater controls on my 2004 Canadian EGT. -------------------- A proud member of the club.

Looks like my US, 2003 control cluster minus the extra power outlet and the white "PUSH" on the a-tray. I swear I can turn my AC off when the defrost is on. Maybe I'm mistaken though.
