No big priority for this one. The summer OEM A/S tires are burnt out and I need to start looking for summer rubber sometime soon. I loved the BFG g-force sport comp 2s on my G5 and I'd likely go for those again, but perhaps there are better options out there. I'm a more performance oriented driver so I'd sacrifice longevity/comfort for better grip.

Also, I'd like to ditch the 16" steelies if my finances would allow. The wheels on the top spec model are ok, and should be inexpensive, but if they're too heavy I'd have to look elsewhere. I'd like something lightweight and big enough to close the wheel gap and maximize the contact patch. 18s perhaps. What would you guys suggest?

Yeah, it's a wine color. Maroon/burgundy I'd say. Crimson if you reach far enough.

So i posted a few things from Tire rack in the first post. I would stay with a 16in rim. Then get a set of snows for your steels for winter. It will be a lot right away, but will be worth it in the end. All the tires i posted i have driven on. I have the 4x on the Elantra for the summer. Damn good tire.

Thanks. I've got fresh 185/65/15 Michelin x-ice xi3s on steelies from my last car on now. They're a solid tire and saw me through the worst a Quebec winter could throw at me last year.

Good picks, I'll look into them and browse around too.

Absolutely. Why would you suggest sticking with 16s and not a +1/+2?

Price and weight. If you want to get ride of the finder gap then I would get lowering spring.

The KYBs right? Alright, how wide can I go with a wheel? I want to maximize the contact patch as much as possible.

7 or 8 in wide.

Here is the stock 15in with lowering springs.

And O.Z wheels also 15in

I could have gone with 16 or 17, but for the 15 are a better deal.
