2006 OR 2007 Elantra (Or is it?) Options

Over at EZboard we had some pictures and discussions about the next generation Elantra!


I have been following this topic as much as I can, and have been to many a car forum that discusses spy shots etc. Some of these forums have Hyundai Insiders as members, and these are the people that are claiming what's what!

The consensus appears to be that any pictures we think we may have seen of the Elantra is actually the Kia Optima!

So...Who knows...I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens! Of course..the insiders could be bluffing?

Here are two photos of the car in question. While the rear suggests a family tie-in with the Sonata the dual bar front grille goes against the new single bar look of the new Hyundai line. On the other hand many reputable sources like Edmunds and the Detroit News are saying this is the next Elantra. I'd still put it at 50/50.

Motorweek showed the North American International Car Show (or something like that) that mentions the new redesigned Hyundai Sonata. No mention of the Elantra, but that's not exactly proof.
