Hi to everyone!, my first post biggrin.gif, you have a helpful webpage!. I have a problem with my xm radio on my elantra 2009, when i select "xm" i can't change channels, so i can't go to channel 0 to see my radio id, just says "No cat info" on channel 01. How can i see the radio id?

Thanks!

This is what sirius reccomends. I know you said you cant get to 0. Did you try the steering wheel controls & radio knobs?

I know if you go into XM, then setup and cycle through the options the radio ID will be in there. Thats how my 2009 worked. You need to be in XM mode though when you go into settings.

If all else fails, long as the radio is stock and never been replaced - call XM and provide them the VIN number - they can activate it.

FACTORY INSTALLED:All vehicles are factory activated, which means they will arrive on your lot fully functional. The demo service will automatically convert to a consumer account with a three-month trial via the Retail Delivery Record process. (Please ensure the RDR is complete with accurate customer contact information, including email address.) Therefore, if the vehicle was properly factory activated or refreshed upon receipt, there is NO FURTHER ACTION REQUIRED of the sales consultant to activate SiriusXM Satellite Radio for the customer. If the satellite radio is not active when the vehicle arrives on your lot, follow the instructions below for an activation refresh.

GET THE XM RADIO IDTurn on the radio and tune to Channel “0.” The radio will display an eight-digit XM Radio ID, which you will need for step 2.
CONTACT SIRIUS XMActivate service at siriusxm.com/refresh or call SiriusXM Dealer Support at 1-800-852-9696.LISTEN AND ENJOYKeep the radio on and within 30 minutes it will begin to receive satellite radio service.

Are your sure you have XM radio, and not just XM ready?

It might help to take a picture and post it of your radio and the display that comes up. That way we can help you troubleshoot the issue. Has it worked in the past for you? Is it possible your XM subscription expired? I believe when that happens you can just get the XM info channel which is 01.

I was looking the carfax of the car, and a couple of years before they changed the radio (I don't know why) maybe they didn't install it right?

That's the PA710S model.

It has SDARS capability so satellite does work with that.

However, do you have the shark fin on the roof?

Yes, it has the shark antenna on the roof

So maybe they replaced the radio with a wrong model? (Because in the carfax report says that they replaced the radio in 2010)
