Once again, THANK YOU! Works like a charm. You saved me from making a fool of myself by calling the dealer and yelling at them.
I'm no longer vibrated out of my seat by the bass (which was set at +8!)

That's why I try to tell people this club is invaluable to Elantra owners. You can save money and gain insight from members on just about any problem you have. One issue though, is trying to get members to support EC so this resource sticks around for them.

Anyway, big thanks to taktrevor for his help. I'm glad this got ironed out.

As for the XM. Wait 10 days after the trial is over. They send an email on the 10th or 11th day offering a great deal. I have been paying 4.99/mo + tax since then for the "XM everything" package since Sept 2009. I threaten to leave at each yearly renewal and they keep it the same.

Good advice, but I am pretty sure I refused to give the dealer my email. I'll wait til they start calling me again (I know they have my number, because they called ceaselessly for a month and then gave up because I never answered (love caller ID.)

This was a great topic, I just happened to be looking through this sub-forum and found this. I bought an '11 Touring back in May with the same radio. Wouldn't you think Hyundai would notify all new owners with this radio that the manual is wrong? Or have they already done that?????
