Ok yeah, I know they have ridiculous amounts of horsepower and hundreds of hairpin turns on a dirt road and basically no design restrictions, so they maximize downforce but.... Jesus, man just stop. The rear spoiler is a monstrosity already, the air vents on the grille, roof scoop and side scoops are ridiculous but the splitter poking into the next zip code.... does he have no shame? And what did he do to the front wheel arch? It's disjointed. What does this car have to do with the Suzuki SX4 anymore? And why are there so many photos of that ugly Japanese dude in the gallery?

Hmmm guess the fact it won the race dosnt factor in huh? Maybe they know something you dont? Not like its a production street model dont get your argument against this winner! You failed to mention a Hyundai Genesis took 1st in 2 wheel drive class but ill give you credit for posting the link with that info smile.gif

Sure he won the race but really... is that worth building a car THIS ugly? Just saying.... it's butt ugly. If that were just RICE on a street car... it would have to be torched for the good of mankind. Yeah the Genesis Coupe won the 2WD class, just not sure how much any of these cars have in common with the production versions anymore - the Genesis more than this one, for sure. We gotta stop having the post-editing conversations man...

Being its a winning race car my intuition tells me the designers didnt make it "butt ugly" for no reason. It make look funky for the street but it beat cars with 300 more HP in a major hill climb I for one cant knock its design and i doubt its for sale.

I think I see a little of the SX4 in those pictures...
that truly is a monster, but do the wings/scoop need to be THAT big?

pretty crazy to pack 800HP in that little thing, and 1150hp into a Ford RS200? overkill!

yay Rhys.... I was actually thinking of finding out how he's done so far before I checked the new posts

Yes they do need to be that big. You been to Colorado? 10,000 ft drop offs are not somethign to take lightly.... Suzuki has been attackin Pike's peak trying to break their old record for thelast few years. I love it.

If you want to check out large wings, look up AM in SCCA Solo racing. 3cyl Rotax 2-strokes pushing 280hp and they creat enough down force on an auto-x course to actually use it.

Millen set the record time of 12 minutes, 9 seconds (12:09.397) more than 1 minute and 23 seconds faster than his nearest competitor in the rear-wheel-drive Time Attack Class. At the finish line on the summit of Pikes Peak, Millen reported that the car that never skipped a beat, no matter how hard he challenged the diverse terrain and high altitude, and finished with both rear tires down to steel belts. Millen utilized the Genesis Coupe's rear-drive layout to its full potential, power-sliding his Genesis Coupe mere inches away from guard rails, trees and 2,000-foot cliffs, while besting his own record of 12 minutes, 31.61 seconds by 22 seconds.
