After failing to obtain rotors and pads from hyundaiperformance.com, I am looking for a Canadian source. I'm trying to avoid OEM parts, as there must be something much better out there. I did get new rotors, some Aimco Super Premium (they must be really good if they're Super Premium?) but can only find OEM equivalants for pads.
Any suggestions from our knowledgable members?

..does anybody know of a reputable place in the Greater Toronto Area to get them installed
Oh, and I called the service department at Hyundai of Mississauga just to ask if they would and if so how much. Don't remember if anyone here goes to them, but if you do, please do me a favour and smack one of the people on the service desk. I asked (very nicely I might add) if they would do the install and they answered back with this crap: "Why do you want to install them on your car? Why would you want to change the geometry of the car? Why would you change the dynamic of your car? It's not made for it you know!"

Ferrari to host festival in Mont-Tremblant
Montreal, Quebec - Ferrari North America will host its annual Ferrari Festival (Ferrari Maserati Racing Days) at Le Circuit Mont-Tremblant Raceway on June 24-26. It will feature a field of more than 25 drivers, including Montreal native and Canadiens hockey star Patrice Brisebois and 2004 Ferrari Champion Emmanuel Anassis.
The festival features current and historic Ferrari, Maserati and pre-war Alfa Romeos driven by their owners, not professionals, who compete in real races.
In addition to viewing the actual races, fans can also enjoy the Ferrari Challenge paddock areas, which will be open to view some of the world's fastest and most valuable racing cars. New cars on display will include the Ferrari 430 coupe and Maserati Quattroporte sedan. Bose Corporation will be on hand to highlight its Bose sound system, standard on the Quattroporte, and allow festival-goers the chance to win a new Wave music system.

Hi,
I'm in the market for a new car and I'm seriously considering a 2005 Elantra GT hatch. I'm interested in hearing from other owners in Lower Mainland (BC) what you paid for your car, and your experiences with Lower Mainland Hyundai dealers.
Thanks in advance!

The nice guys at Burlington Hyundai hooked up my swaybar so it finally got installed yesterday, after a failed attempt with rusted bolts. I didn't get to test it out yesterday but it seemed like the back was tight around the 3 corners I took. On the way to work this morning I ended up finding out how well it works, I almost took this one corner to sharply but corrected it, but the best was yet to come. On the way home from Mississauga I took it through Kilbride (North Burlington) and down Cedar Springs Rd. At first I had a 97ish Maxima riding my tail, but through the corners he couldn't keep up, he would either cross the line or almost lose it. I can't believe how much of a difference this upgrade made.

I just got a notice in the mail that there is a package waiting for me at the post office. The only thing I had shipped here was my sway bar so it came and pretty damn quick too, now I just have to wait for my bushings to come in the mail and it'll be all good.

!!! I have an opportunity to buy a 19 mm Rear sway bar, the fellow over on NT.com lives in the Chicago area and tried to ship me the rear sway bar. USPS told him the item is too large to ship to Canada. I asked him to try again because maybe he just got a "trainee" type person.
Has anyone managed to recieve a rear sway bar from the US? and what type of shipping was used?

Folks, it's official winter is gone and we will get no more snow in the Ottawa region (I hope). I've just installed a new set of 17s and they couldn't handle any snow at all so I guess that means winter is gone.

I found a list of the most stolen cars in Canada for 2004 to be kind of fascinating.
Here's the list:
In Canada, the top-10 most stolen vehicles according to insurance industry numbers are:
1) Subaru Impreza WRX
2) Ford F-350 Super Duty
3) Cadillac Escalade
4) Honda Civic Si 2DR
5) BMW 325Ci/330Ci
6) Hyundai Tiburon
7) Hyundai Accent
8) Hyundai Tiburon GT
9) Ford F-250 Super Duty
10) Dodge Dakota.
Interesting list and 3 Hyundai's are listed... but what's up with the Accent over a Tibby GT?? You guys are too practical!

Hey ! Hello all !
I get to be the first official post in the Canadian members section
Should we start a new local list of Canadian members that have transfered over from EZboard ? Are these lists useful ?
