Hi all,

Cant seem to find any post on club members installing an aftermarket HU double din in the Elantra GT 2013+. I have purchased this dash kit http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_76136_...-95-7357HG.html and was wondering if the 7" HU had enough space or would it stick out too much?

Much appreciated.

Dont think to many people has changed the radio yet. The car is so new i dont think anyone has tried. But by all means go a head and do it. make sure to take lots of pictures.

i would hope that it will have the clearance to fit a double din. Dont want to spend hundreds of dollars and find out that there is not enough clearance for the HU sad.gif

Yea. Looking at some of the stock Nav pics, the unit seems quite big. I will definitely post pictures of the install. Just have to figure out how to get the cable to the license plate light for my rear camera sad.gif

There is lots of room in the dash so I don't think you'd have any problem with an aftermarket double din installation. There are also a couple companies that sell headunits specific for the Elantra. Compass-nav and Uni-nav both have units for the Elantra. I know someone that took their compass-nav headunit out of their sedan and it fit perfectly in the GT. You can see some info on that unit at the link below.
