So how's the Soul doing? The 2012s perked my interest, they have a good HP bump, and I like their naming a paint color "alien." Do you have hamsters?

Haha, my wife has the soul - she loves it.

I only really like it because of the storage room for transporting things, fuel mileage and every part on it is interchangeable with my 09 elantra. Same oil filters and everything right down to the capacity of fluids... I believe.

Right now she's had it for a little over 9 months and she's only got 8,500 miles on it. She only goes to and from work with it.

Amazing mileage compared to my 09 I got with 14 miles and now has 69K miles.... sigh.

Anyways, it's holding up and it has a drop in filter now and shes on synthetic oil.

Not a bad little car-uv lol

Also.... she did have a hamster a few years ago, probably about 4 or 5.... it's butt fell out... of it's butt and the hamster died the same day.

Will never have another hamster... gross.

It looked like a cow though with its fur pattern.

I just looked for a picture of the hamster, couldnt find it... ill find it later im sure lol.

I had a hamster for about 3 days last year...

Went to the store, bought the hamster, brought the hamster home, wife played with hamster, hamster didn't want to play, hamster bit the wife, hamster went to cage and then hamster didn't wake up.

I did take it back to the store and got a full refund cause i guess the little guy had some kind of hamster disease...

Took wife to thailand this year, saw some monkeys, wife didn't want to play with monkey, monkey bit wife...

I just don't think animals like her!

Pictures of the wifes soul.

Good thing she's not one of those people who thinks that taking photographs steals one's soul.

Sorry, I hadn't seen this thread until it popped up today and this post cracked me up.

Well... just about a year later... ESC issues... As some of you might know... I modded my tail lights and had stop lamp issues and that caused my own ESC issues in my elantra... My wifes Kia Soul has NO... ABSOLUTELY no mods... ESC issues. Solid illuminated ESC - random times, random speed, random reasons. Tail lights work great, steering is fine, alignment is good.

I'm going to check around online and see what the common sense say and if need be order a stop lamp switch through our affiliates - I'm betting thats whats up.

My 2009 elantra has 81K (bought with 14 miles)
Wifes 2011 Soul.... 12K miles (Correction - 15K)

sad.gif lol

Congrats on the new ride, Vinny!

There aren't many things more exciting than buying a new car.

So the wifes kia soul went into the stop yesterday and came out today.... I knew what the issue was but..

She's been complaining about the TCS light coming on - AKA ESC for hyundai

And.... Why am I not shocked?

Hyundai and Kia need to drop their stop lamp switch manufacturer.

The biggest issue with hyundai and kia are the brake sensors.

I can't complain too much because it was fixed for free although I KNOW i'll come back.

Same issue with my HD which I got the part for free and so did my wife.... But still off warrantee it's a $65 part from dealership and $6 or $9 through rock auto... but stilll...

Glad it got fixed. And under warranty is always good too. Weird luck that both your cars needed new switches

How's the Soul?

I bought one Sep. 11 of last year. So far so good. Really enjoy the maneuverability. Limo-like rear seat room. Happy with my purchase.
